Research Ethics and Academic Integrity

Guided by principles of adult learning and incorporating video vignettes, the case studies presented below were constructed to foster informal discussions about issues of academic and research integrity between all those involved in research: faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and undergraduates. This resource tool provides an active model and a starting point for discussion for those involved in research, addresses multiple learning styles, and enhances the mentoring relationship by sharing knowledge and experiences with other people.

This project was made possible through a contract with the Office of Research Integrity, US Department of Health and Human Services. If you would like further information, please contact the Professional Development Programs of the Graduate School at taprog@syr.edu.

In addition, please refer to the Discussion Guide (PDF).

You may also wish to visit the Research Ethics and Academic Integrity Student Forum, featuring questions and discussion for selected videos.
